Laptop Recommendation for Staff

Looking to buy/upgrade your laptop?

If you will be purchasing a laptop for your time at NYU Stern, already own a laptop computer, or choose to select a different model, please check that it meets our recommended configuration.

We provide best-effort support for all laptops to troubleshoot and fix any software or device issues. Any issues that require replacing or repairing hardware or reinstalling an operating system will generally need to be handled directly by the manufacturer's support.

We recommend NOT purchase Chromebooks, as there are software that are incompatible with ChromeOS.

Which Laptops Do You Recommend?

If you have just received a laptop and would like to have it imaged/set up, please send an email to the Stern IT HelpDesk so we can schedule a time for it to be dropped off at our office.
