Canceling a Service‌

You can cancel service requests according to the following timeline:

1. Catering/room setup – up to 7 calendar days prior to the booking

2. Event technology – up to 3 calendar days prior to the booking


After these deadlines have passed, you must contact Special Events to cancel catering or room setup requests, and CETG to cancel event technology requests. Please note that you may still be responsible for full charges for services cancelled at the last minute.


To cancel a service request, do the following:

1. Log on to Virtual EMS with your Stern username and password

2. Click on Reservations->View My Requests

3. Locate the appropriate reservation and click on its name:

4. Locate the appropriate booking

5. Click the green “+” button:

6. Click on the red “X” next to the name of the category to cancel the entire service. You can also click on the red “X” next to an individual item if you only wish to cancel specific items:

To cancel service requests for multiple bookings within one reservation, do the following:

1. Log on to Virtual EMS with your Stern username and password

2. Click on Reservations->View My Requests

3. Locate the appropriate reservation and click on its name

4. Click “Cancel Services”

5. Select the service you wish to cancel from the “Categories” drop-down list

6. Select one or more bookings for which you wish to cancel that particular service

7. Click "Save"
