Requesting Event Technology Services‌

< Previous | Contents | Next >

Event technology can be requested in event spaces and classrooms, but NOT conference rooms, after your booking request has been Approved. In addition, because event technology is room-specific, you must submit a separate request for each booking within a reservation – i.e., you should not attempt to apply services requested for one booking to another. Attempting to do so will result in an error message and you will NOT get any services for any bookings other than the original one for which you requested services.

Event technology requests must be submitted no later than 3 calendar days before your booking. Last- minute requests (i.e., requests less than 3 days before your booking) cannot be made in Virtual EMS, must be made directly with CETG and are not guaranteed.

To request event technology services, do the following:

1. Log on to Virtual EMS with your Stern username and password

2. Click on Reservations->View My Requests

3. Locate the appropriate reservation and click on its name:

4. Locate the appropriate booking and click on the green “+” icon:

5. Click “Event Technology”

7. Enter the chartfield that will be used to pay for any items (consult CETG for clarification) that require payment

8. Select the checkbox next to “I have read and agree to the terms and conditions”

9. Click Save

10. If you have multiple bookings, then click “Do Not Apply to Additional Bookings”. If you attempt to repeat the same request to other bookings (particularly if they are located in other rooms), you will see the following:

When you click on Reservations->View My Requests and click on the name of this reservation, you will see the following:

Repeat these steps for each booking within a reservation as needed.
